Very enlightening discussion. I hear a lot of stories about farmers burning out. I don't know why I thought that the failure rate in farming was any different than the failure rate of any other business. Learning curve aside, I guess most regen farmers believe that if they treat the soil/land well, the soil/land will yield its abundance and improve every year. EVERYONE wants to buy healthy food and there isn't enough really healthy/organic food to be had, right? What could go wrong?

I asked a Walmart manager why a particular product was no longer available. He said that to be in a Walmart store, the producer has to be able maintain enough stock in the warehouse to supply 250 stores. Many vendors simply don't want to bother with Walmart warehouses.

Flores is a great speaker, but I do not think the idea humans caused the quaternary extinction holds up to evidence like the white sands footprints that show humans had lived alongside these animals for over 10k years before the extinction event.

A fantastic presentation. My contribution... I have been reading husbandry books from the 1800s and found that they didn't like 'new hay' or 'new oats'. They preferred year-old hay and I think it's because it was fermented. I switched to fermenting all of my horses' hay and they improved (ex: better pooh, occasional coughs disappeared). One of them, in particular, was not thriving in any way and could barely move (metabolic issues?) but when I started fermenting hay he improved 70%. I began fermenting oats, organic alfalfa, and soybean and he now moves out like the others. Much much happier and more animated, with 'joie de vivre'.

A song from grade school sung to the tune of MY GRAMDFATHERS CLOCK The sun heats the earth and the oceans and lakes, and it causes the vapor to rise. As it rises, it cools and condenses and makes all the clouds that we see in the sky. All the clouds that are formed cause the earth and sea to warm to , when the vapor goes up with the air,. And you know that cycle is taking place when you see those clouds up there. Thank you, thank you
